Back after a one day absence (not that anyone noticed, likely...). Had some important issues to deal with yesterday. I am a free man, I am not incarcerated. So life is good and we will enjoy it (for now). Also, Tommy Gunns is out of the hospital (no, he didn't OD, no, he didn't have to get a massive dose of penicillin, no, he wasn't getting his blood replaced...). We'll see if he makes a return to the stage tonight at Morgan's at, or near, 10:30PM this evening, or if we get to see his little bro, J.J., light it up, again.
That reminds me of a story...
A decade (or two) ago, the boyz were opening for Guns 'N' Roses. It was a warm August night in the multicultural, bilingual city of Montreal. Stressed out, because Axl was being difficult, giving the boyz grief over set length (and the fact that the Toyz were outplaying them every night!), Johnny was ranting and raving all set long. It was the first night on a new leg of the tour and not everyone was completely familiar with the new stage plot. Well, two-thirds of the way through the set, Johnny finally starts getting in his groove and is flinging himself around the stage, like a whirling dervish. Unfortunately for him, in his zoned out state, he lost his bearings on the stage and ended up doing a windmill in one of the stage's danger zones. Not two seconds later, a 12 foot flashpot flame engulfs Johnny...
What? That happened to James Hetfield, too? And they were opening for Guns at the time? Wow, that's a coincidence...
Uh...ok...Likki just told me that it happened to James Hetfield from Metallica, but not Johnny. Likki was lying to me when he told me it happened to Johnny. Bastards...they're always f***ing with me.
Anyway, the guys have done and seen it all, except for getting engulfed in flames from stealthily-placed flashpots. That happened to that James Hetfield. But he's hellacool, too. Well, maybe not so cool. Maybe it's more appropriate to say he's...hot?!
Ok. I gotta go now. But I'll be back with more shit you didn't know about Broken Toyz!
Later,
Eli Finkelstein (Cy's kid)
