A blast from the past

It feels like 1988, all over again. Once (and future) drummer Likki Stixx has rejoined the band. In his second stint behind the skins, he takes over for Russian expatriate Oliver Clozov who has, once again, violated the terms of his visa and been deported back to his communist homeland. Clozov, who had the longest run of any Toyz drummer at 3 years, was busted recently with distributing homemade 190 proof potato vodka from the back door of his undercover brothel, which specialized in toothless women of Eastern European descent. He is appealing all charges from a 3' by 8' cell in Siberia, and hopes to return to the Toyz stage, as soon as possible.

Stixx, you may remember, was the bands 'visual timekeeper' for a period of 18 months back in 1988-9, replacing Stix Zadinia, who has gone on to fame with another LA band, Metal Shop. Likki left in late '89, after a scandal involving two fifteen year-old twins, their mother, a merry-go-round and a goat. Details were sketchy and Stixx was never charged, but the resulting publicity forced Likki to seek treatment for sex addiction and go into hiding for a number of months. He was replaced, briefly, by 'Philthy Animal' Taylor, famously of Motorhead.

Stixx found God and was born again, started his own cult, built up a following of female-only disciples, and predicted the end of the world in 1991. He planned a massive orgy among his followers to celebrate the moment of the expected apocalypse. When the End Time failed to materialize, Stixx said was ridiculed by his followers and his 'faith' abandoned by all. He didn't seem too disappointed. He soon was back in the LA club scene playing with an incarnation of Pretty Boy Floyd.

Ahh memories, seems like it was just yesterday Likki's erotic quirks were getting the best of him. Luckily, today, he has a big house with a compound, so if he's engaging in bestiality with minors and their willing mothers at least he can do it without getting caught.
