Ah, Halloween. The boys in the band's favorite holiday of the year (ok, so technically it's not a holiday, shoot us). A time of year when women like to dress up in the tiniest costumes possible and guys dress in drag without fear of getting beaten to within an inch of their lives. You get your naughty nurses, your sexy vampires and your dirty she-devils, good ideas all. And, like I said, a bunch of guys dressed like either the Spice Girls or a two dollar hooker. But, as seems to be the case most of the time anyway, all this does is drive said trashily dressed women into the Toyz boys arms even quicker.
This is not to say that the Toyz haven't, from time to time, joined in the festivities and shown up in costume. Of course, no one ever said they had healthy senses of humour. For instance, hark back to seven years ago, when Tommy Gunns showed more than a bit of bad taste by showing up dressed as Superman. In itself that wouldn't be bad, but add the fact that he was in a wheelchair and you get the idea of where things go wrong. Then consider the year that Johnny Emaxx showed up all pimped out as Adolf Hitler...at a party in the Jewish community centre. On a lighter note was the year that Damage dressed up as a living room chair. He kept telling women to 'sit in him' not telling them about the flap in the cushion where his unit could pop through into their nether regions. He scored, like, eight times that night and didn't have to do any of the work. He just sat there and enjoyed the ride(s). And my personal favorite, the time Likki dressed up as a farmer and his sheep, joined crotch to ass. I guess Likki forgot that he had to fit behind his kit. Tommy had to play drums all night that year, Likki laid on his back, sheep standing at attention, just so he could get close to a mic, so he could sing.
It'll be interesting to see if any of the boys take the time to display their creativity through costume this year. God help us if they do, it could get ugly.
Stay safe...
