New Emaxx look...colorful!

Another Tuesday night and another triumph. A record crowd at Morgan's last night witnessed a stunning show by a Toyz lineup sharpened by their recent northwest road trip. With a refined look and bonds obviously tightened by a long hard slog on the road, the band was in top notch from.

Well, I may be exaggerating a bit. The band's tour was more of a one-off show, the drive was only a few hours and the crowd at Morgan's is kind of regulated by the Public Safety Task Force. But you couldn't have (legally) squeezed any more people in the intimate venue than were there last night, so that's nothing to sneeze at. A warm thank you, as well, to the large number of folks who enjoyed the show from the vantage point of the City of Calgary's fine sidewalk outside First Seventeenth Place.

One of the highlights of the night was the unveiling of Johnny Emaxx's fall line of fashions. In a sneak preview of what all over-the-hill hair farmers will be wearing come this fall, Emaxx looked resplendent in a rainbow of teal and fuchsia tops accenting his tastefully distressed acid-washed jeans. Nary a hint of his signature black was seen gracing his sleek, feline form. He was a vision.

The rest of the band was tastefully attired, although it was a rough night for Likki Stixx who had to perform the entire night shirtless, after someone stole all the shirts from his wardrobe while the band filled up their van with gas in Canmore on their return trip Sunday.

Sartorial issues aside, the show was another success. We look forward to see you all again, at the next Toyz performance.

A good day to you all...
