Ahhh...the clean mountain air

Well I'm not sure what to say today. I have been unable to get a hold of the band since their gig in Jasper on Saturday night. I'm hearing all kinds of rumours about how they brought the house down. Sadly, I can't get confirmation on whether this means they rocked the house and all is well, or if the unsubstantiated rumours of disaster are true.

I assume that the former is true. After all, we see on a weekly basis how the band has the ability to bring even the most jaded of rock critics to their knees with their Rock Spectacular at Morgan's every Tuesday. Of course, the friendly confines of their second home is not always a true test of their artistic dominance. A band can get a little complacent thrilling the same willing audience week after week, year after year.

On the other hand, I have heard tell of a literal bringing down of the house. The stage, the lighting, the sound system, everything involved being reduced to a heap of rubble. Not to say that the sheer power and size of the band's show could not be responsible for this, only that it could be a bit dangerous.

Either way, the legend of the Toyz will no doubt continue to grow as a result of this latest journey into the majestic Northern Peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Although 'killer show' has the ability to be seen from more than one point of view. Let's hope this show falls in to the one with less actual carnage.

Just a word of warning, or to provide some of you with some small sense of relief, I may not be able to report in on Tuesday this week. I have a chance to actually do something to help pay the bills, unlike this thankless hack job. So, I may not see you until Wednesday. If that's the case, enjoy the peace and quiet, but not too much, the Toyz will still be around (I think) to rock your socks off 10:30 Tuesday night at Morgan's.

Later...
